Victoria Justice has joined the cast of The First Time as the female lead, Variety is reporting.
Set to be written and directed by Jonathan Kasdan (In the Land of Women), The First Time is a teen romance that focuses on a relationship between male (Dylan O’Brien) and female (Britt Robertson) high school students.
“It’s really just two large parts — a boy and a girl,” Kasdan said about the lead roles late last year, “They meet, and it’s the first throes of their relationship… Before it gets bad, like they all inevitably do.”
Justice, best known as the star of the Nickelodeon series “Victorious,” will play O’Brien’s character’s dream girl, marking her second major big screen role after the upcoming Halloween comedy Fun Size.
The rest of the cast includes James Frecheville, Craig Roberts, Joshua Malina, Halston Sage, Maggie Jones and Adam Sevani and is planned to shoot shortly in Los Angeles.
