Sylvester Stallone Confirms He Won’t Direct The Expendables 2

As first reported last month, Sylvester Stallone will not be returning as director on the sequel to The Expendables. The star has confirmed the news to Deadline, indicating that he’s preparing to find a helmer to take his place.

Stallone co-wrote, directed and starred in the first film, which earned $274.5 million in theaters worldwide last year.

Except for Stallone returning in the role of Barney Ross, there has been no confirmations on who else may be reprising their roles or who may be added, though Deadline indicates that not only is the original cast wanted back but that roles may be expanded for the cameos turned in by Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
