Michael Clarke Duncan Joins Green Lantern

Michael Clarke Duncan has officially joined Green Lantern in the role of Kilowog. Latino Review had the news late last month and their scoop has since been confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter.

Kilowog, a member of the Green Lantern Corps, is a hulking figure from the planet Bolovax Vik and has been a mainstay of the DC Universe since he first appeared in 1986.

The voice of Kilowog was previously performed by Michael Madsen in the direct-to-DVD feature Green Lantern: First Flight.

Duncan, still best known for his breakout performance in Frank Darabont’s The Green Mile, most recently provided a voice in Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore. He joins Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong, Angela Bassett, Tim Robbins, Temuera Morrison, Jay O. Sanders, Taika Waititi, Jon Tenney and Geoffrey Rush in the June 17th release.
