Though rumored last month to be returning to the United Kingdom for reshoots, it now appears that Captain America: The First Avenger will do some additional photography in Los Angeles. On Location Vacations has the scoop, saying the production will take to LA’s downtown this Friday.
Little is known about what the filming entails, but the site speculates that it may include Stan Lee’s cameo and will shoot under the codename “Frostbite,” the same production name it used when filming in Europe.
It is likely that these reshoots were planned as part of the overall production schedule.
Directed by Joe Johnston, the July 22 release stars Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, Hugo Weaving, Sebastian Stan, Toby Jones, Samuel L. Jackson, Dominic Cooper, Tommy Lee Jones, Stanley Tucci, Neal McDonough and Derek Luke.
