The writing team of Jeremy Passmore (Red Dawn) and Andrew Fabrizio has been set to pen the script for action-thriller DMZ, from CJ Entertainment and produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura’s di Bonaventura Pictures.
Variety says the plot “centers on a U.S. satellite that crashes in the Korean Demilitarized Zone and an unlikely international group of soldiers who unite to enter the DMZ and retrieve the satellite despite the imminent threat of hostile North Korean soldiers. The disparate heroes soon learn that there is something much more deadly in the DMZ than enemy soldiers.”
Passmore and Fabrizio are currently rewriting Paramount’s Hellified. They also wrote Fox’s The World After and Echo Lake’s The Prince.
