Paramount Names Fun Size Director

Josh Schwartz has come aboard the Paramount Pictures film Fun Size, Variety is reporting.

The project, originally announced last May, arrives from writer Max Werner (“The Daily Show”) and is described as a cross between Superbad and Adventures in Babysitting. Set on Halloween, Fun Size follows the adventures of a teen girl who loses her little brother while Trick-or-Treating.

Schwartz has, up until now, primarily writing and producing credits to his name and co-created both “Chuck” and “Gossip Girl.”

Though it’s unconfirmed, it’s likely that Fun Size will target an October 2012 release.
