Gemma Arterton in Robert Capa Biopic

Receiving the “Hottest Actress” award of 2010 from Total Film, Gemma Arterton let slip that she will star in Michael Mann’s Robert Capa biopic.

“This year’s been intense, but next year’s going to be… intenser! [Laughs] I’m attached to about nine projects but I’m not sure which one’s I’m allowed to talk about,” Arterton said.

She added that she’s “aiming for even more diversity. Capa [biopic about the combat photographer Robert Capa] is confirmed, so I should be working with your hottest actor, Andy Garfield!”

Arterton would play Capa’s partner, Gerda Taro, but it is not confirmed yet that Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield is on board to play Capa.

Mann’s project at Sony will concentrate on Capa’s torrid two-year romance with fellow photographer Taro during the Spanish Civil War.

Arterton appeared in Clash of the Titans, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, The Disappearance of Alice Creed and Tamara Drew in 2010.
