Nicolas Cage has signed on to play the lead in Medallion, reports Heat Vision.
The film, to be directed by Simon West (Con Air, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider) will star Cage as a former criminal who has to find his kidnapped daughter who has been locked in the trunk of a taxi cab in New York City.
The film, which is being produced by Millennium Entertainment, arrives with a script courtesy of David Guggenheim (the upcoming Safe House).
