Kristin Davis, best known for her lead role in the “Sex in the City” films and series, has signed on for Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, reports Deadline.
Davis will play the female lead and mother to Josh Hutcherson’s character, acting opposite Dwayne Johnson. The film is also set to star Michael Caine and Vanessa Hudgens.
“Journey 2” is currently shooting in Hawaii and is planned for release in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D.
