Variety reports that Vincent Kartheiser (“Mad Men”) will star in writer/director Andrew Niccol’s untitled Justin Timberlake-Amanda Seyfried thriller, formerly known as “I’m.mortal.”
The 20th Century Fox release takes place in a future society where, thanks to a scientific breakthrough, no one has to age. To keep population in check, people stay alive as long as they can pay their way.
The story follows a rebel from the ghetto (Timberlake) who is falsely accused of murdering a wealthy man for his time, and goes on the run with a beautiful hostage (Seyfried).
Kartheiser plays the father of Seyfried’s character, who is forced to choose between the daughter he loves and the oppressive time system that has made him rich.
Cillian Murphy also stars, as does cast Collins Pennie, who plays right-hand man to Timekeeper Raymond Leon (Murphy).
