Daniel Radcliffe Attached to All Quiet on the Western Front

Having completely wrapped playing Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe is now attached to play the lead role of Paul in an updated version of All Quiet on the Western Front.

Variety says that producing duo Ian Stokell and Lesley Paterson wrote the script and will produce through their Sliding Down Rainbows Entertainment production company.

“Daniel brings a vulnerability and innocence to Paul,” Stokell told the trade. “When we realized how much he loved the script we were really excited because we know he can tap into the delicate balance between intensity and believability that is critical for this demanding role.”

Erich Maria Remarque’s World War I novel was first adapted in 1930 by Lewis Mileston. That film won the Oscar for Best Picture.
