Patrick Tatopoulos (Underworld: Rise of the Lycans) is in negotiations to direct Participant Media’s eco-horror tale The Colony starting this fall.
The Summit Entertainment release “revolves around a group of survivors forced underground by the next ice age. There, they must fight to preserve humanity against a savage threat.”
Stacy Title and Jonathan Penner wrote the script, which was rewritten by David Lee Johnson. Participant executive vp production Jonathan King will oversee.
Steven Schneider of Room 101 and Vertigo Entertainment’s Doug Davison and Roy Lee are producing, with Gabriel Mason executive producing.
