The Ice Age Creators are Taking You to Rio

Blue Sky Studios and 20th Century Fox, which together have brought you the “Ice Age” films, Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who and Robots, will release a new 3D animated comedy next Easter titled Rio. The first trailer for the film is now online and can be watched using the player below.

Voiced by Neil Patrick Harris, Anne Hathaway, Rodrigo Santoro, George Lopez and Jake T. Austin, the film centers on Blu, a rare macaw who thinks he is the last of his kind. When Blu discovers there’s another — and that she’s a she — he leaves the comforts of his cage in small town Minnesota and heads to Rio de Janeiro. But it’s far from love at first sight between the domesticated and flight-challenged Blu and the fiercely independent, high-flying female, Jewel. Unexpectedly thrown together, they embark on an adventure of a lifetime, where they learn about friendship, love, courage, and being open to life’s many wonders.
