Montecito, run by Ivan Reitman, Tom Pollock and Joe Medjuck, has picked up the sci-fi-tinged adventure comedy spec Field Trip from Jordan Cahan, says The Hollywood Reporter. Paramount and Walden Media also are co-financing.
The trade says the storyline is being kept under wraps, but the story is known to involve time travel, a high school teacher and his students.
The Montecito principals will produce with Greg Lessans, a former assistant to Scott Rudin (My Best Friend’s Girl).
