McQuarrie Reteaming with Singer for Jack the Giant Killer

Heat Vision is reporting that Oscar winner Christopher McQuarrie, who worked with Bryan Singer on The Usual Suspects, Valkyrie and X-Men, is reuniting with the director for New Line and Legendary Pictures’ Jack the Giant Killer.

McQuarrie is writing the current draft of the fantasy adventure, which takes an adult look at the Jack and the Beanstalk legend. When a princess is kidnapped, a long-standing peace between men and giants becomes threatened, and a young farmer is given an opportunity to lead a dangerous expedition to the giant kingdom to rescue her.

Mark Bomback and Darren Lemke wrote previous drafts of the script.

Singer is about to begin casting for the film, which he will shoot this summer in England.
