In a mythical ancient world, monsters rule the land while humans keep to their own kingdom. But when adorable baby monster Wuba is born to a human father and monster queen, mortals and creatures alike set out to capture the newborn, and Wuba’s epic adventure begins.
The latest film from Raman Hui – whose animated work includes modern-day children’s classics Shrek, Madagascar and Antz, – Monster Hunt smashed box office records to become the highest-grossing film in China’s history. FilmRise will release Monster Hunt in 2D and 3D in two versions: Mandarin with English subtitles, and English Language.
Directed by Raman Hui (Shrek the Third) and starring Baihe Bai, Wu Jiang, Jing Boran, Eric Tsang and Tang Wei, Monster Hunt will be given a limited U.S. release by FilmRise on January 22.
