Vulture has posted an interesting bit of news saying that Mattel is developing a new toy line about an alien civilization that’s been living in the depths of Earth’s oceans.
According to the site, “Mattel challenged its designers to come up with a new toy line that could simultaneously be turned into a TV show, feature film, or game, for the ultimate branding weapon.”
The aquatic alien idea was reportedly the one they went with and the company has partnered with producer Neal H.Moritz, who will soon start looking for screenwriters.
Mattel and Moritz’s representatives would not confirm the development to Vulture.
