ShoWest 2010: A Motion Poster for The Other Guys

A motion poster for the Adam McKay police comedy The Other Guys, starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, is playing on a loop in the main entrance lobby for this year’s ShoWest Convention at the Paris Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

It starts with an image of Mark Wahlberg leaping through the air holding two guns in slow motion with lots of smoke and shrapnel behind him as rap music blares, Chamillionaire’s “Ridin’ Dirty” in fact, and Wahlberg’s name appears on screen, then it cuts to Will Ferrell (who is wearing glasses for the role) doing the same thing from the other direction, also holding two guns, John Woo style. It then shows a wider shot with the title “The Other Guys” as the two of them crash together in the middle and Ferrell drops his gun, then we see the two of them hanging from wires as they react to what just happened.

“I dropped my gun!” Ferrell proclaims, to which Wahlberg yells, “Yeah, good! Good! I was supposed to go to the left!” Ferrell says, “We’ll have to do it again.”

“No, I’m not doing this with you anymore,” Wahlberg tells him.

Ferrell responds, “Let it out, I understand, I’d be livid.”

“You’ve got to be kidding me, man!” Wahlberg screams in response.

“That’s a thousand dollar gun,” Ferrell says.

“And you’re paying for it,” Wahlberg tells him.

The Other Guys will be released by Sony Pictures on August 6, and you can keep posted on everything happening at this year’s ShoWest convention by bookmarking ComingSoon.net’s ShoWest Page.
