Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Watchmen, upcoming The Losers) will star alongside Sam Worthington in murder mystery The Fields (formerly known as “Texas Killing Fields”), to be directed by Ami Canaan Mann from a script by Donald F. Ferrarone.
The Fields focuses on the true story of a pair of police officers who undertook to solve two decades of disappearances and homicides — totaling as many as 60 victims — in the industrial wastelands surrounding Gulf Coast refineries. Worthington will portray a local homicide detective who works with a New York transplant (Morgan) to wage a war against the unknown but fierce killers.
Production is scheduled to begin April 5 in Louisiana. Michael Mann is producing along with Michael Jaffe.
