Screen Daily is reporting that Glenn Close is set to reprise one of her most famous stage roles on the big screen. She will star in, co-produce and has co-written costume drama Albert Nobbs.
Set in a 19th Century luxury hotel in Dublin, the drama stars Close as a woman who disguises herself as a man in order to survive.
Rodrigo Garcia, who directed Close in Nine Lives and Things You Can Tell Just By Looking at Her, will direct the adaptation of Broadway hit “The Singular Life of Albert Nobbs.”
Orlando Bloom, Michael Gambon and Janet McTeer are co-starring in the movie, set to start shooting in July.
