Universal Pictures has acquired the thriller Safe House, to be produced by Scott Stuber.
The film centers on a young house sitter of a CIA-run safe house who must help a criminal, who’s being hidden there, avoid being killed as they flee to another secure facility when the first house is destroyed by villains who want the witness dead.
David Guggenheim, a senior editor at US Weekly, set up the project at the studio.
