Five New Emotional Character Posters for Pixar’s ‘Inside Out’

The character poster fad has become a rather tired one, especially when it comes to dramas or pretty much anything not largely targeting children. So, I guess it still seems somewhat logical for something like the Marvel movies as well as animated features, which is what we have today with five new character posters for Pixar’s Inside Out, the new animated movie from director Pete Docter (Up, Monsters, Inc.) set to hit theaters June 19, 2015.

The film centers on a character named Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco, and as much as Riley is the center of the story, it appears her emotions will get just as much if not more screen time. Those emotions include Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith), all five of which are featured on this new batch of posters.

The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.
