More Planning, Big Gags Needed for Saw VII in 3D

ComingSoon.net’s horror arm ShockTillYouDrop.com talked to Saw VI producer Mark Burg about the seventh installment, hitting theaters in October of 2010, and about how many more films they are planning. The sixth installment is opening on October 23.

Twisted Pictures and Lionsgate will make Saw VII in 3D and you can check out Burg’s comments on why it is needing more pre-production here. Also, there have been rumors that there will be nine “Saw” films, but Burg says the current storyline ends in Saw VIII. You can check out his comments on that here.

In Saw VI, Special Agent Strahm is dead, and Detective Hoffman has emerged as the unchallenged successor to Jigsaw’s legacy. However, when the FBI draws closer to Hoffman, he is forced to set a game into motion, and Jigsaw’s grand scheme is finally understood.
