Shia LaBeouf Pulled a Tooth and Cut His Face for ‘Fury’

In the picture of Shia LaBeouf above, from this weekend’s new release Fury (read my review here), I’ve highlighted two bloody, little cuts on LaBeouf’s right cheek. Most often you’d thinking nothing of it. “It’s just makeup,” you’d say, and in most cases you’d be correct when it comes to an actor in a movie, but in the case of Shia LaBeouf in Fury you’d be wrong.

“We were in make-up and they were putting cuts on Shia and I said, ‘Yeah, yeah, it looks good.'” Fury co-star Logan Lerman told the British edition of GQ (via Yahoo, “And Shia was like, ‘No, it doesn’t look real’.”

So what happens next? As Lerman tells it, “Then he walks out into the hallway and says, ‘Hey man, wanna see something fun? Check this out…’ and he takes out a knife and cuts his face. And for the whole movie he kept opening these cuts on his face. That’s all real.”

Wild eh? And the scars remain, but as wild as that incident is, it gets even wilder.

You may have already seen the Twitter picture LaBeouf posted back in May (see below if you haven’t) wherein you’ll notice he’s missing a tooth and yes, he actually had a tooth pulled for the movie. Here he is telling Jimmy Kimmel on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” about how it went down.

That’s not where it all ends, also last night he talked about fist-fighting Brad Pitt on set and told a hilarious story about his recent arrest and I’ve included both videos below.

When it comes to the love the cast had on set, Pitt has already said something similar telling GQ:

“Oh, I love this boy. He’s one of the best actors I’ve ever seen. He’s full-on commitment, man. He’s living it like no one else, let me tell you. I’ve been fortunate to work with a lot of great actors. He’s one of the best I’ve seen.”

Sounds like the boys bonded amidst the blood, sweat and grime.
