New, Explicit Clip from ‘Nymphomaniac’ is in the Mood for Giving

Following the extraordinarily explicit first trailer for Lars von Trier‘s Nymphomaniac a new clip from the film has arrived online, this one titled “Chapter 6: The Eastern and the Western Church (The Silent Duck)” and yet again, it’s extremely not safe for work as Charlotte Gainsbourg as the self-diagnosed nymphomaniac, Joe, receives a not-so-subtle gift from Jamie Bell as the character referred to only as K.

Suggesting the nature of the relationship, Bell refers to her as “Fido”. The rest of the clip suggests just how their relationship works.

Here’s the clip description that was supplied.

The Eastern Church is often referred to as the Church of Joy, and the Western Church as the Church of Suffering. Should you make a mental journey from Rome eastwards, you’ll find that you move away from guilt and pain, and towards light and joy. However, what Joe comes to learn is that pain and pleasure can be closer than you’d think.

Check out the clip below. I’ve age-gated it due to the content.

On a cold winter’s evening the old, charming bachelor, Seligman (Stellan SkarsgÃ¥rd), finds Joe beaten up in an alley. He brings her home to his flat where he cares for her wounds while asking her about her life. He listens intently as Joe over the next 8 chapters recounts the lushly branched-out and multi faceted story of her life, rich in associations and interjecting incidents.
