Your Box Office Predictions for ‘Carrie’, ‘Escape Plan’, ‘Fifth Estate’ and ’12 Years a Slave’

Well, well, it looks like we have a little race in the box office predictions this week as Laremy is a little below some of the reader predictions, a little above on others and then one has a little room right in-between.

Beginning with the Carrie remake, the readers have a little higher expectations than Laremy, going $600,000 higher with $23.1 million. I’m not sure how many people are going to run out to see that one, but these crappy horrors do tend to bring in numbers if marketed well enough.

The Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger teaming in Escape Plan only enjoys a $400,000 discrepancy between Laremy’s prediction and the reader aggregate with the readers going slightly under at $9.2 million.

The biggest difference on the board is an interesting one as Laremy went with a $5.1 million prediction on the WikiLeaks picture The Fifth Estate while the readers loaded up, predicting a $8.6 million finish. Room right there in-between to fight over that bone.

Finally, only $100,000 separates Laremy and the readers on the limited release of 12 Years a Slave, I assume Laremy will happily take the over.

I’ve included Laremy’s predictions and the average reader predictions directly below and I’ll be back on Sunday with box office estimates. To see Laremy’s full list of predictions and all 90 reader predictions for this weekend click here.
