Edgerton Joins Bale in Scott’s ‘Exodus’ and Jeff Nichols’ ‘Midnight Special’

Joel Edgerton will reportedly join Christian Bale in Exodus for 20th Century Fox. There are scant details on the Biblical epic outside of the fact Edgerton will play Ramses to Bale’s Moses with filming taking place in Spain, Morocco and England.

In addition to this news, Edgerton has just received a new co-star in Midnight Special to be directed by Jeff Nicols (Mud, Take Shelter).

Written by Nichols, the film follows a father (Michael Shannon) and his eight-year-old boy who must go on the run when it becomes apparent that the child has superhero-like powers. Kirsten Dunst is the latest to join the project per Deadline. Warner Bros. will distribute.

Edgerton was recently seen in The Great Gatsby and will be seen in the troubled production of Jane Got a Gun.
