The Boston Globe got some big news from Peter Farrelly, who revealed that Paul Giamatti will replace Sean Penn as Larry in The Three Stooges. Penn pulled out of the film earlier this summer.
Benicio Del Toro is still attached to play Moe, but the newspaper added that Jim Carrey won’t be playing Curly as was previously reported. Farrelly did not tell them who will take on the role instead.
MGM is eyeing a 2010 release for the big screen adaptation that will be written and directed by the Farrelly Brothers.
