Preview a Complete Track from Hans Zimmer’s ‘Man of Steel’ Score and Colbert Says, “Superman is Obama”

I’ve already posted a Man of Steel, but today a full track from said score has been officially released. Titled “An Ideal Hope”, which doesn’t appear on the score’s tracklisting, was officially released by Warner Music and can be previewed directly below.

The title of the song actually makes me laugh just a little because of Steven Colbert’s comical takedown of the film and its use of the “S” on his chest and how it’s not actually an “S”, but stands for “hope” on Krypton. To which Colbert said, “This means “hope”? They’re saying Superman is Obama!” I don’t know, made me laugh.

Of course, fans all over, myself included, are hoping Zimmer has tapped into whatever groove he found with Christopher Nolan‘s Batman Begins and the excellent score for The Dark Knight. Give this track a listen below and let me know what you think.
