Jessica Chastain Joins Christopher Nolan’s ‘Interstellar’

Jessica Chastain is in talks to join Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway in Christopher Nolan‘s Interstellar, the Dark Knight director’s new film involving time travel and alternate dimensions.

Deadline.com reports she’ll play the film’s third lead in a story that is said to see a group of explorers travel through a wormhole.

The script was written by Nolan’s brother, Jonathan Nolan, and is based on scientific theories developed by a Kip Thorne, a theoretical physicist, a gravitational physicist and astrophysicist at Caltech. Like Nolan’s Inception, the story is said to be “complex and multi-layered”.

Warner Bros. has set a November 7, 2014 release date for Interstellar.
