Fox Searchlight has officially announced an April 5 release date for Danny Boyle‘s Trance, which is already set to hit UK theaters a week earlier on March 27.
The film stars James McAvoy, Vincent Cassel and Rosario Dawson with McAvoy playing Simon, an assistant at an auction house who masterminds an art heist and teams up with a gang of thieves, but suffers a blow to the head and wakes up with amnesia.
Simon is the only one who knows where the painting’s location is and after his continued failure to remember, the gang begins to suspect duplicity on his part and hires a female hypnotist to get into his brain.
