New Pictures from Denzel’s ‘2 Guns’, Curtis’ ‘Time’ and Diesel’s ‘Riddick’

A trio of new images from Universal’s upcoming slate have just come in. The first above comes from Vin Diesel‘s Facebook page, offering up a new picture from Riddick, the third film in the sci-fi franchise set for release on September 6. The story sounds a bit like Pitch Black in that Riddick (Diesel) is thought left for dead on a sun-scorched planet where he must fend of an alien race of predators, but his situation changes after he activates an emergency beacon. Two ships arrive, one manned by a new breed of mercenary, the other a man from Riddick’s past.

Next is the first look at Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg in 2 Guns, directed by Wahlberg’s Contraband helmer Baltasar Kormakur. Set for release on August 16, the film is an adaptation of a Boom! Studios’ comic book centering on a DEA agent and an undercover Naval Intelligence officer who are unwittingly investigating each other and who steal mob money for the good guys. The duo realizes later that the mob actually got them to steal $50 million from the CIA.

And finally comes the first look at About Time from Richard Curtis (Love, Actually) starring Rachel McAdams and Domnhall Gleeson in a story centered on Tim, a young man who comes from a family of time-travelers. When Tim learns of his unique gift from his father, he uses his newfound abilities to change situations for the better.

The film hits theaters on May 10.
