Oscar Screenplays: ‘Hyde Park on Hudson’, ‘Promised Land’ and Disney’s ‘Frankenweenie’ and ‘Wreck-It Ralph’ Added to the List

The Oscar screenplays are continuing to arrive and today I’ve added four more to the list as Focus offers up Hyde Park on Hudson and Promised Land and Walt Disney Pictures has made available the screenplays for Frankenweenie and Wreck-It Ralph.

The screenplay for Hyde Park on Hudson was written by Richard Nelson and if you’re interested you can scroll to Page 14 and find the one scene in the film that everyone will surely be talking about after seeing the film. As for Promised Land, I watched it a couple nights ago and it’s a decent film, written by Matt Damon and John Krasinski. It’s a message movie focused on fracking and while it quite clearly has an agenda, it doesn’t beat you over the head to the point you’re numb.

Frankenweenie was written by John August based on Leonard Ripps screenplay for Tim Burton‘s 1984 animated short. Wreck-It Ralph was the collaboration of many with the story by director Rich Moore, Phil Johnston and Jim Reardon with Johnston co-writing the script with Jennifer Lee who was recently in the news as she is now serving as co-director on Disney’s Frozen with Chris Buck (Surf’s Up, Tarzan).

This brings the list of scripts available to 23 and I am still waiting on studios such as the Weinstein Co. and Warner Bros. to make available some of their screenplays and hopefully Universal will add Les Miserables to the list sooner rather than later and Warner Bros. has still yet to make available any of their scripts for download.

So scroll on down and right click and save any of the following screenplays to your computer and get to reading.
