It doesn’t happen very often that a producer captures your attention on a project more than anything else, but such is the case with Dark Skies from Jason Blum’s Blumhouse Productions, which is responsible for such films as Sinister, the Paranormal Activity franchise, Insidious and the upcoming Insidious Chapter 2. This latest feature continues down the low-budget horror road and is directed by Priest and Legion helmer Scott Stewart and stars Keri Russell, Dakota Goyo and Josh Hamilton
Dark Skies is a sci-fi thriller centered on a suburban couple whose lives become a nightmare when a terrifying alien presence enters their home each night to prey upon their young boy. Increasingly isolated from skeptical friends and neighbors, the couple is forced to take matters into their own hands to save their family.
Dimension is handling the film’s release and it will arrive in theaters on February 22, 2013.
