It seems I’ve been bringing up Kathryn Bigelow‘s Zero Dark Thirty quite frequently as of late and am now given the chance yet again as the MPAA has given it an R-rating for strong violence including brutal disturbing images, and for language. So it would seem there will be no skirting around the edges with this one.
Additionally we have new ratings for Dustin Hoffman‘s Quartet and Harmony Korine‘s Spring Breakers, the latter of which has earned a well-deserved R-rating and if you missed my review of the film from Toronto you can read that here.
