Daniel Radcliffe Gets Horny, ‘Captain America 2’ Actress Shortlist and Much More [Morning 5]

1.) Marvel has dropped another short list, and who doesn’t love those? This one is for the female lead in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The list includes Emilia Clarke (“Game of Thrones”), Jessica Brown Findlay (“Downton Abbey”), Teresa Palmer (I Am Number Four), Imogen Poots (Fright Night) and Alison Brie (The Five Year Engagement).

While there’s no official word on the character just yet, it will certainly be a romantic interest for Chris Evans‘ Steve Rogers. Speculation suggests it could be Sharon Carter, the niece of Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell‘s character from the first film). It sounds like Scarlett Johansson‘s Black Widow will play a part in the film as well. [Deadline]

2.) Lynne Ramsay is prepping a sci-fi take on Moby Dick called Mobius. She will direct the project and write the script with her We Need to Talk About Kevin co-writer Rory Kinnear. I’d offer a plot description, but isn’t it kind of obvious? Think space ships instead of boats and aliens instead of whales. Mobius will likely come after the western Jane Got a Gun, which Ramsay is planning to film in January with Michael Fassbender and Natalie Portman in the leads. [THR]

3.) McG (Terminator Salvation) will direct Kevin Costner in an untitled action thriller from a script by Luc Besson (Taken) and Adi Hasak (From Paris With Love). Costner will play a Secret Service Agent who discovers he’s dying and decides to retire to spend time with his estranged family. But then, the agency offers him access to an experimental drug that could save his life in exchange for one last assignment. He’s left juggling his family, the the drug’s hallucinatory side-effects, and the fact that this final mission is surely the most dangerous of his career (at least that’s how it usually works). [Coming Soon]

4.) Clark Gregg, who you surely recognize as Agent Phil Coulson from The Avengers, is writing, directing and starring in Trust Me, a dark comedy about the world of child stars. Production actually began last week. Gregg’s character is a former child star who has since become an agent of child actors and stumbles on a child prodigy. The ensemble cast also includes Amanda Peet, Felicity Huffman, Allison Janney, William H. Macy and Sam Rockwell. Gregg previously took on hyphenate duties for 2008’s Choke. [THR]

5.) Finally, look below and say hello to Ig, Daniel Radcliffe‘s character in the aptly titled Horns from director Alexandre Aja (High Tension). EW unveiled this first look at Radcliffe’s character, a 26-year-old who wakes up one day with a massive hangover and (clearly) horns sprouting out of his head. He soon learns he’s suspected of the rape and murder of his girlfriend, but the horns give him the superhuman ability to force anyone to tell the truth. [EW]
