Meet the ‘Seven Psychopaths’ in Posters That Take No Shih Tzu

Yesterday brought us the first trailer for Martin McDonagh‘s Seven Psychopaths, the filmmaker and playwright’s hotly anticipated to the wildly hilarious In Bruges, and today the Internet delivers us seven character posters introducing us to the “psychopaths” themselves.

Starring Colin Farrell, Christopher Walken, Sam Rockwell, Woody Harrelson, Olga Kurylenko, Tom Waits and Abbie Cornish, Seven Psychopaths centers on Marty (Farrell), a struggling writer who dreams of finishing his screenplay Seven Psychopaths. All he needs is a little focus and inspiration.

Billy (Rockwell) is Marty’s best friend, an unemployed actor and part time dog thief, who wants to help Marty by any means necessary. Hans (Walken) is Billy’s partner in crime. A religious man with a violent past. Charlie is the psychopathetic gangster whose beloved dog, Billy and Hans have just stolen. Charlie’s unpredictable, extremely violent and wouldn’t think twice about killing anyone or anything associated with the theft. Marty is going to get all the focus and inspiration he needs, just as long as he lives to tell the tale.

I have added the official poster at the very bottom of this post along with the trailer for anyone that didn’t get a chance to see it yet, but for now, why not just start at #1 and click through the seven posters introducing the film’s titular characters.

Seven Psychopaths is playing in the Toronto Film Festival’s Midnight Madness selection and will hit theaters on October 12.
