Variety reports that Phillip Noyce will direct the indie police thriller Mixed Blood, with Samuel L. Jackson to co-star.
Kelly Masterson (Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead) is adapting Roger Smith’s novel of the same name, published last year by Henry Holt & Co.
The film will center on an American fugitive being forced to make violent and terrifying choices to protect his family while drawing the attention of murderers, kidnappers, corrupt cops and a detective, portrayed by Jackson.
Filming will start early next year.
