Arclight has bought Future X-Cops, a local-language sci-fi action film that is set to make a huge end of year splash in China, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The $20 million movie stars Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau and is directed by Wong Jing.
The story involves a cop who travels back in time to foil a corporate conspiracy against a doctor who has created a new technology which threatens the monopoly on a city’s energy resources.
Stunts and action choreography are by Tony Siu-Tung Ching (Hero,” House of Flying Daggers), who coordinated more than 300 stunts for the Beijing Olympics ceremonies.
