AFI Announces Their Top 10 Films of 2010

As if there wasn’t enough going on today in terms of awards announcements, the American Film Institute (AFI) has announced their top ten American films of the year and it includes some familiar faces not to mention nine of my current ten film predicted for Oscar’s Best Picture nominees. The only difference at the moment is I have The King’s Speech in my top ten while the AFI includes The Kids are All Right, which is currently my #11 pick, though it has also been in my list of ten much of the year and I expect may end up in my ten before the Oscar nominations are announced in January.

As for The King’s Speech, it wasn’t ignored outright as it was named alongside Davis Guggenheim’s education doc Waiting for “Superman” in the “Special Awards” category.
