Columbia Moves Forward with Third Langdon Film

Variety reports that Columbia Pictures is moving forward on a third installment of the Robert Langdon franchise, based on Dan Brown’s books. The Da Vinci Code kicked things off in May of 2006 and will be followed by Angels & Demons on May 15. The two pics were both directed by Ron Howard and star Tom Hanks as the Harvard religious expert.

Dan Brown has announced that his next installment of the series is “The Lost Symbol,” which will be published in the U.S. and Canada by Doubleday on September 15, 2009. The story takes place during a twelve-hour period.
