A ‘Pet Sematary’ Remake with George Clooney?

I hadn’t even heard word that Paramount was looking to remake the 1989 adaptation of the Stephen King novel “Pet Sematary” but if this is true then more power to them, that was actually the movie that got me into reading Stephen King novels

Word coming out of Bloody-Disgusting is that George Clooney will be in the remake, and they are convinced as they report it saying it is “100% confirmed”. Unfortunately they don’t have any more details as to whether or not Clooney will be playing the lead character of Louis Creed, which was played by Dale Midkiff in the ’89 adaptation.

The story centers on the Creed family who has just moved to a new house in the Maine countryside. Their house is perfect, except for two things: the semi-trailers that roar past on the narrow road, and the mysterious cemetary in the woods behind the house. The Creed’s neighbours are reluctant to talk about the cemetary, and for good reason too as the pets that are buried there don’t stay buried for long and neither do the people there for that matter.
