HUTCHERSON TAKES FRASER’S JOURNEY
Josh Hutcherson is joining the 3-D remake of Journey to the Center of the Earth pitting him alongside Brendan Fraser.

The film from Walden Media and New Line Cinema will be a contemporary update in 3-D of Jules Verne classic science fiction novel and will revolve around a scientist (Fraser) and his troubled nephew (Hutcherson) on an expedition in Iceland who stumble upon a mystery that leads them on a thrill-ride adventure, bringing them face to face with never-before-seen worlds and creatures beneath Earth’s surface.

The film starts shooting June 10 in Montreal.

Anguish, the Jake Wade Wall pitch based on the 1987 Spanish horror film, “Anguistia” has just been picked up by Universal Pictures.

The original film was a horror-movie-within-a-horror movie. As an audience in a small theater watches a pic about an optometrist on a killing spree, a maniac begins killing the moviegoers.

RAINING FROM BROADWAY TO BIG SCREEN
Julia Roberts may be getting horrible reviews for her stage debut in Richard Greenberg’s “Three Days of Rain”, but that isn’t stopping the play from getting a bigscreen adaptation.

A spring 2007 start date is set for the flick, which tells the story which follows a brother, sister and their childhood friend, who regroup following the death of the siblings’ father, a celebrated architect.
