Sommers Collides Again

Stephen Sommers needs to make up his mind because I am tired of writing articles concerning his involvement in Paramount Pictures’ remake of When Worlds Collide of which Steven Spielberg is producing.

Back in August it was reported that while Spielberg had come aboard the picture to produce Sommers was dropping off, but today Variety takes it all back as Stephen is onboard once again in a directorial and writing capacity.

The original Worlds Collide was released in 1951 and centered on a dying star hurls through space on a collision course with Earth, with no way to stop it. The hope of the planet’s citizens lies in the hands of pilot Dave Randall and astronomer Doc Hendron, who will supervise the construction and flight of an interplanetary craft that will carry a handfull of humans to start the race anew on another planet.
