Dumping the Old Man’s Ashes

I’ve had a lot of people emailing me lately with questions such as “Hey, you got any info about Jessica Lange, Sissy Spacek, or Kathy Bates?” Many times these pleas for “older lady data” (as the freaks call it) include a desperate cry of “How about something with all three in it?”

Well look no further my strange compadres. As it turns out our fine friends over at Production Weekly were on the case all along. I’ll let them break the news to you directly:

Jessica Lange, Sissy Spacek and Kathy Bates will star in the indie feature “Bonneville,” for Christopher N. Rowley to direct. Written by Daniel D. Davis and Rowley about the recently widowed Arvilla, (Lange) accompanies by her best friends Margene (Spacek) and Carol, (Bates) who takes her husbans Joe’s vintage Bonneville and head’s towards Santa Barbara to deliver Joe’s ashes to his resentful daughter, Francine. En route, however, a series of offbeat adventures leads the women on a jurney that will change their lives and show them there is more than one way to keep a promise. Production is scheduled to begin next month in Utah and Las Vegas.

It looks like Thelma and Louise meets “The Golden Girls”. I won’t be holding my breath on this one, but you never know what the viewing public will coronate any given year. Perhaps this is Driving Miss Daisy all over again.
