‘Into the West’ Coming to DVD in October

Confirming the news we reported back in June TNT has officially announced that the DVD set for their pop epic six-week television event “Into the West” will hit shelves on October 4th. “Into the West” has been watched by more than 75 million viewers to date and has consistently ranked in ad-supported cable’s Top 20 among viewers and key adult demos since its June 10 premiere. It has also repeatedly outdelivered broadcast programming in head-to-head competition. Fans of the series will get the chance to collect all 12 hours when the “Into the West” DVD hits stores.

“We are immensely proud that more than 75 million viewers have watched “Into the West,” the most ambitious production TNT has ever undertaken and one of television’s biggest success stories of the summer,” said Michael Wright, senior vice president of original programming for TNT. “As our telecast of this very special story comes to a close, we are also thrilled that viewers will have an opportunity to own it for themselves with the DVD release in October.”

TNT’s “Into the West” tells the story of the opening of the American West, a dramatic, personal tale of the adventurous exploration of the American wilderness, the clash of two cultures, the rush to riches in a new land and the building of a new civilization. The landmark production features an enormous cast, to check out all the names, stills, trailers, clips and more click here.
