Anderson Tapped for ‘Crazies’

If you have yet to see The Machinist I can tell you that you are missing out on a wild ride and the two fellows behind that flick are joining forces once again as writer Scott Kosar and director Brad Anderson are set to tackle a remake of the George Romero horror-thriller The Crazies for Paramount Pictures.

Kosar is no stranger to horror as his credits include 2003’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake as well as the upcoming remake of The Amityville Horror set for release on Friday.

Variety reports that the film will update the storyline of the original, in which inhabitants of a small Pennsylvania town are beset by death and insanity after a plane crash lets loose a secret biological weapon into the water supply.

Romero will take part in the picture as an executive producer.
