Back in 1977 Wes Craven wrote and directed a little pic called The Hills Have Eyes and last February Variety announced that Dimension had picked up the rights to remake the horror classic. Unfortunately that idea went into turnaround, but for you horror fans Fox Searchlight may just be saving the remake afterall.
Variety is now reporting that Searchlight has picked up the flick, which centers on an unsuspecting family making a detour into the desert to visit a silver mine they’ve inherited, only to be preyed upon by a hidden band of psychotics.
So the Hills may have Eyes once again… stay tuned.
