UPDATE: ‘Wonder’ Whedon Confirmed and New Artwork!

UPDATED: We now have artwork from the film, just check out the pic below and click on it for an even larger look.

Joss Whedon created the fan favorite “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” created the quickly cancelled “Firefly”, wrote and is directing the film adaptation of the cancelled “Firefly” series Serenity, created the fan-favorite “Buffy” spin-off “Angel” and penned the screenplays for Toy Story and Alien: Resurrection. You might say Whedon has knack for giving the younger age group what they want, so who would ever argue with him wanting to take over a superhero icon as Wonder Woman.

Whedon proved he has the talent to create a female action star as he gave Sarah Michelle Gellar life everlasting as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the only question now is who is going to be playing the woman with the golden lasso as Whedon is already hard at work writing the script for Wonder Woman, a film he will also be directing for Warner Bros. and Silver Pictures.

Wonder Woman will be based on the DC Comics character created by William Moulton Marston.

Back in 1975 Wonder Woman had life on television as the sexy former Miss USA, Lynda Carter took the role, WB has been putting out the season sets of Wonder Woman lately to the pleasure of many fans.
