Brando is Back as Jor-El?

No, it’s no mistake, it’s not a type-o… LatinoReview, the boys who rarely post a rumor unless they have it on good authority that it is true have posted a bit of news that will raise the dead… sort of.

Bryan Singer has not kept secretive about how he is approaching his adaptation of Superman and LatinoReview goes into that by saying how he will use items that are familiar to the first two Superman films such as the design of the Fortress of Solitude and of Krypton as well as parts of John Williams’s score, but about the casting of Superman’s father, Jor-El there has been no word, until now.

Marlon Brando is the word from LR. Yup, the deceased actor who played Supe’s father in the very first Superman film. They go on to point out that it will not be a CGI Brando, but scenes that were ultimately deleted from Superman II featuring Brando and Christopher Reeve’s interacting.

LatinoReview does however mention that things do happen and this could fall through, but as of now this is the plan.
